This is another book I really want to like but find it difficult to get inspired about any of the recipes. It’s nicely published with a few pictures and a sensible layout. The main thing I don’t like is the small amount of main courses. If you’ve read all my reviews you’ll know that the main courses are always the first things I look for, and I like a decent percentage of the book to be dedicated to themMy main complaint about this book is the amount of the book that’s dedicated to juices, smoothies and other drinks. It’s probably about a third of the book! Like all my reviews, it’s only personal, but for me that’s way too large a percentage – I make smoothies most days but I only need a few ideas not a third of a book.
Having said that, the rice bowls look like a great idea and some of the sandwiches look tasty too. One of the first recipes in the book is for dosas – probably my favourite food in the entire world. I’m interested to try it but it certainly bears no resemblance to any Indian dosa recipe I’ve ever seen or used.
